Thiensville

One of my Great Grandfathers worked in this bank on the Milwaukee River in Thiensville Wisconsin. .   My Great Grandfather Memler owned Memler's Hotel, across the street from this mill. He bought this mill and ended up losing both the Hotel and the Mill, since according to my Grandmother he didn't know anything about running a mill. This is the source of the Memler Motto "If You are not Certain of Success, Don't Try" The old post office (top).     The old Savings and loan (right).
