In December 2000 I drove down to Lauglin Nevada, which is in the point at the bottom of Nevada where Nevada, California and Arizona come together.

Laughlin is a major stop on the migratory Winnabago route. They stop for the cheap but awful buffets on their way to their winter nesting grounds in Arizona.

I was the only person under the age of 70 there, including the casino employees.

Located on the Colorado River, there are pontoon boats that ferry people up and down the river and across to parking in Arizona.

Park Place, which owns the Flamingo hotels now, decided that they didn't need the Hilton brand on their hotels. Rather than pay the fees they took the Hilton name off the properties.

The moat around the Colorado Belle Casino is filled with gold fish (Koi).
