I go to Las Vegas at least once a year for the COMDEX trade show. The town has changed a lot since 1986 when I visited for the first time. Since then the Castaways, the Dunes, the Sands, the Hacienda, the Aladdin, and the Landmark Hotels have been torn down or blown up. The Mint was merged into Binion's and the last bit of the original Flamingo hotel was torn down. A lot of new stuff went up, the Mirage, Treasure Island, Excalibur, Luxor, the MGM Grand, the Rio, Bellagio, the Venetian, Mandalay Bay, Paris, the Stratosphere Tower, and the Fremont Street Experience. As I write this the new Aladdin hotel is toped out but not finished. The Stardust replaced their really cool sign with a less cool sign.
