Colegrovian Side Defeated at World Cup
Colegrovia was defeated 43 to 0 in its opening round match with Nepal. The lopsided result was due to the lack of interest in participation in World Cup competition. "Next time we have got to field a full team and get a goalie", said the Colegrovian girls field hockey and World Cup coach Renee "Crazy Ankles" Depew. "It wasn't really fair that the pitch was up at the 18000 foot level. Our players needed supplemental oxygen, which slowed them down some".
